February 4th, 2014 Tonia Wilcox set up the save the Silver Ball and Fletcher's Gardens Facebook Page.  The membership quickly grew and people started posting photos and memories of the Silver Ball and the FJ gardens.  By now, it looks as though the Fletcher Jones site may be lost as it is in such a bad state of repair and people fear the loss of the FJ Water Tower AKA Silver Ball and Fletcher's gardens in particular.  The photos show parts of the factory and how derelict it has become.  Photos of a rusty airconditioner in danger of falling and of the rusty pipes underneath the Silver Ball were sent to Warrnambool City Council and Heritage Victoria and this sparked orders for removal for public safety.    However, it was not until the new owner, Dean Montgomery bought the site in May, 2014 that the works were actually undertaken.
