The Esky

"Each year all the Fletcher Jones staff were given a Christmas Present - one year it was a brown car fridge with a white lid. Now when the time came for the pleating section to have their annual Christmas party at Jubilee Park, yes everyone had a brand new car fridge to take their eats and drinks in! One PROBLEM - who belonged to which brown and white car fridge? Nobody worried too much about the food - but who was drinking the refreshments from which brown and white car fridge - now that WAS a problem!”

Robert Lanchbery (worked at Fletcher’s for 33 years from 1965-1998).

“Here you go - I knew I still had still had my esky somewhere. I received it at the end of my first year so it would have been Christmas 1971. We have used it many times over the years.”  John Stephen
